Dr. Raquel Oxford has over 20 years of educational experience in K-12 public schools as well as post-secondary education. Her areas of expertise and research include second language acquisition, teacher education and mentoring, and meeting the needs of culturally and linguistically diverse students.

Dr. Raquel Oxford has over 20 years of educational experience in K-12 public schools as well as post-secondary education. Her areas of expertise and research include second language acquisition, teacher education and mentoring, and meeting the needs of culturally and linguistically diverse students. She is an associate editor for Hispania and on the editorial board for Foreign Language Annals. Dr. Oxford is also co editor of Second Language Teaching and Learning in the Net Generation. She has a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of North Texas and an MA in Spanish and Applied Linguistics from Texas Tech University.
